Job DescriptionVann Attorneys, PLLC, is a commercial collections, civil litigation and personal injury law firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina. We serve clients including individuals and privately held businesses to corporations with national distribution and business associations. Our attorneys and staff bring a sense of caring and teamwork to our firm and to our practice. One of our goals is to provide the most outstanding and memorable service to our clients possible. A strong work ethic and desire to serve others is required for this position.
We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to add to our team on a full time position. In this position, you will:

Responsibilities
  • Perform some legal research and writing
  • Prepare pleadings, prepare & respond to discovery
  • Draft letters and documents
  • Assist in trial preparation and discovery motion practice as well as other facets of litigation
  • Receive incoming documents from clients
  • Compile and analyze data from records
  • Organize client documents
  • Prepare correspondence for mailing
  • Maintain a record of the status of cases
  • Maintain and update the files
  • Keep the Attorneys responsible for the files advised as to the status and pending deadlines in the case
  • Assist the Attorneys in responding to the deadlines in the cases
Qualification Requirements
Qualified candidates must be a certified paralegal and/or have 2 years experience as a civil litigation paralegal/legal assistant.
  • A Paralegal certificate and/or college degree is preferred.
  • Proven ability to interact and communicate effectively with lawyers, clients and staff.
  • Excellent writing skills, strong organizational skills, and a proven ability to multi-task, attend to details and meet deadlines is needed.
  • Candidates must be a self-motivator and strong team player.
  • Strong computer and word processing skills required with proficiency in TABS, Practice Master and MS Office products preferred.
